The Astrapak Group bid farewell to New Business and Projects Executive at Pak2000, Peter Verster, at the end of September 2015.

He began his service at Pak2000 in Durban in 1998, where he joined the team as Sales Manager. Although he broke his service for a very short period, Verster returned to resume his career with the company until his retirement.

Verster enjoyed every aspect of product development offering his strong knowledge of the automotive lubricants’ market to help Astrapak entrench itself in this segment. His extended experience blended with his passion for innovation meant he was closely involved with the redesign and innovation of a new product range of a major lubricants’ company. Using his knowledge of sales gained early in his career allowed Astrapak to engage Verster as a valuable member of their New Business and Projects team in the latter part of his service at Astrapak.

He was instrumental in the growth and success of Pak2000 helping to build the company into what it is today. Verster contributed to the growth by signing some of the company’s biggest customers. Ultimately, Pak2000’s customers were in good hands.

Astrapak CEO, Robin Moore, said: “Peter is a well known figure in the automotive packaging industry, full of passion and ideas, often looking beyond the immediate situation. He was always willing to go beyond his day to day calling to get things done. His dedication to customer satisfaction was evident in the success he achieved within the market and during his time with Astrapak.”

Verster anticipates spending time with his family and friends and will more than likely be found giving more time to his long-time hobby – woodworking.

Astrapak thanks Verster for his long-term service and valuable contribution to the success of the Group and wishes him all the very best in his retirement.
