Astrapak's Technology and Strategic Projects Executive John Hall retires

John Hall, an integral part of Astramoulding’s strategic development, will officially retire from Astrapak Limited at the end of February 2015.

Hall, who started his career with Astrapak in 2003, will continue offering his esteemed strategic input on a consulting basis going forward.

During his tenure, Hall has seen great strides in actual product design and development within the plastic packaging industry since starting as a General Manager at Astrapak’s JJ Precision Plastics plant in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, in 2003. From then, he assisted the Astrapak Group in various positions including sales, marketing, customer relations, and commercial and projects. He moved into the Group product development role at Astrapak, where he served as a regional product development manager, and then later as a Technology and Strategic Projects Executive within Astrapak’s moulding division.

In his latter years, Hall has been instrumental in mentoring the younger people who have joined the Astrapak Group.

When asked about the changes he has witnessed within Astrapak over the years, Hall said that it was in the scale of operations, the technology advancements and the quality of people coming through, which all bodes well for the Group.

Astrapak Limited CEO, Robin Moore, noted one of Hall’s standout traits being his politeness and courteous approach. “While he may have reached formal retirement age if you look at him and watch the energy that he displays every day, he certainly is not ready to take up fishing full time just yet. John has been a valuable asset to Astrapak, and has been great support in helping us take the business forward. John can be really proud of what he has achieved and we wish him a very happy and healthy retirement!”
