Astrapak Limited has retained it’s rating as a Level 3 Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (“B-BBEE”) contributor as independently verified in accordance with the Codes of Good Practice. The B-BBEE Certificate is based on information provided to Renaissance SA Ratings, a SANAS accredited BEE Verification agency.
The company achieved a 110% procurement recognition level, 76.21% black ownership and 15.75% black women ownership.
Astrapak Limited’s Group Managing Director, Manley Diedloff, expressed his gratitude to all those involved, particularly the Head Office, HR and Procurement teams, for their efforts in remaining committed to B-BBEE and in retaining the Group’s current rating.
Astrapak has incorporated and implemented numerous structures and strategies to ensure maintaining acceptable levels of compliance. One of the cornerstones of the Group’s B-BBEE strategy is to partner with appropriate black companies for specific initiatives. Where there is a good cultural fit and mutual respect, these relationships may be formalised to ensure on-going participation in future initiatives.
