Astrapak nominated for innovation at Gold Pack Awards


Astrapak has qualified five of the 10 entries into the 2015 IPSA Gold Pack Awards. The Gold Pack Awards recognise the industry’s packaging innovation and packaging companies submit their product samples and motivations approximately four months before the event.

In what has become the industry’s showcase of awards for innovative thinking, the prestigious IPSA Gold Pack Awards provides packaging designers and manufacturers a launch pad to present their capabilities and talents to prospective customers with innovation being the focal point of the event.

Astrapak Group New Business Development Manager, Robin Olbrich, said: “Being nominated to receive five Gold Pack Awards is fantastic news. At this moment, we don't know if they are gold, silver or bronze, but all will be announced soon. Thank you to the teams that contributed to the entries and congratulations on this achievement.”

The gold, silver and bronze medal winners will be announced at the IPSA Gold Pack Awards ceremony in Sandton on 4 November.

The Astrapak entries that qualified for an award are:

  • Operating Theatre Tray – Astraforming Thermopac
  • rPet Bottle – Astramoulding Plastech
  • Le Sel Homme range – Astramoulding Consupaq
  • Deodorant Collation Tray – Astraforming Thermopac
  • Danone Ultramel Snack – Astraforming Plastform

The IPSA Gold Pack Awards is the showcase for the South African packaging industry and from its inception in 1973 it has grown into an event of considerable importance and prestige.
