The success of a great team is dependent on the effort of each individual team member and their own role and responsibility taken to do whatever is possible to help the team achieve greatness. Astrapak Limited is made up of many Teams and the success of the business and these teams is driven by noticeable efforts from various individuals at different times.
One such person is Key Accounts Manager, Nils Osberg, who has been commended by his peers for the way in which he goes about his daily work within the Group. Known as “Mr Consistency” to those who work with him each day, Osberg delivers consistently and his performance is exemplary.
Group Key Account Executive, Dave Tyler, said that he had only ever received positive compliments about Osberg internally within Astrapak and from customers. “He doesn't just do his job; Nils always shows commitment and support covering more than what is required of him and he is always willing to help those around him.”
Osberg, currently based at Plastop KZN in Prospecton, oversees the management of a key account where demand forecast accuracy is as low as 50%. This is linked into a business that runs in excess of 30 machines for a blue chip customer and the preceding planning of that has required intense management to mitigate unplanned production and ensure optimal utilisation and productivity. Nils has mastered this!
“Thanks to Nils for his outstanding work. The incoming information from the customer changes every day, yet he goes above and beyond to manage the planning, manage deliveries and manage the customer’s expectation. It is a demanding and stressful job,” said Tyler.
